Al Gogolin

Chief Operating Officer

As Chief Operating Officer of Synergy, Al is responsible for the operations, processes, and people across our various business lines. In this capacity, he is focused on identifying and implementing process improvements within the organization, as well as, streamlining reporting and creating numerous efficiencies in our workflow.

Al has over 25 years of varied experience in the design, construction, and real estate industry. Prior to joining Synergy, he was a Senior Vice President with Skanska USA for 14 years where he served in a number of operational roles, in several markets along the east coast. At Skanska, Al managed a book of work made up of dozens of simultaneously ongoing construction projects, ranging in size from tenant fit-outs to high-rise office and multi-family buildings. Prior to Skanska, Al was a Principal and the Director of Design for Pond and Company, a large, multi-disciplined design firm in Atlanta, GA.

He is a board member of an innovative non-profit called YouthBuild Boston, which offers a hands-on approach to training and workforce development for the youth of Boston, as well as a member of the Board of Directors for the Downtown Boston Business Improvement District (BID) and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP).

Al Gogolin holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology (where he also pitched on the baseball team) and is a registered professional engineer, a licensed general contractor, and a LEED-accredited professional.
