D. Paul Koch, Jr., Vice President - Legal

Paul is responsible for managing the company's legal matters. Paul undertakes the in-house performance of leasing, tenant, vendor, entity, acquisition, and general business matters. Furthermore, he collaborates with Synergy's outside counsel for transactional, tax, zoning, and other matters requiring the scale of law firm services. 

Throughout  his legal career, Paul has focused on real estate in a variety of settings: a Sole Practitioner in Boston focusing on residential and commercial transactions, an Associate at Shechtman Halperin Savage, LLP in its Boston office managing distressed assets, and the Legislative Director of the Boston City Council researching and developing public policy including housing and zoning issues.  Paul has also worked at the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Management and the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development. He received his BA from Providence College, his JD from Boston University School of Law, and his MBA from Boston University School of Management. Paul is a member of the Boston Bar Association.
