Cathal McGloin , Non-Executive Director

Cathal is a Non-Executive Director of Synergy and advises on international investment and financing where he has extensive experience. Cathal is a 20-year veteran in the international technology industry and since 2004 is President of Arantech Inc., the US subsidiary of the successful Irish technology company Aran Technologies Ltd., where he is responsible for business operations across North and South America.

He was the founder and CEO of Performix Technologies, a successful software company he founded in Ireland in 1998. Cathal moved to the USA in 2000 to establish Performix’s US operations and grew the company successfully with an impressive client list in Europe and North America. He was responsible for the successful funding of Performix through all stages of its development. Prior to this, Cathal worked in management and consulting roles with several international companies including Siemens in Germany and Cap Gemini in the UK and Ireland.

Cathal is a graduate engineer from University College Dublin, Ireland and also holds an MBA from the Smurfit Graduate School of Business. He was awarded the Harvey Medal for outstanding performance in the MBA. He is now a member of the North American Board of the Smurfit Graduate School of Business at University College Dublin.

Cathal has been an advisor to Enterprise Ireland, the Irish government body charged with the internationalization of Irish companies. He also advises many Irish and UK companies in their entry and funding strategies and business development in the North American market. He lives with his family in Lexington MA.
