Corporate Accountant<\/h2>

The Corporate Accountant role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career, excited to gain experience and have a direct impact on a growing company. This highly visible role reports directly to the Controller\/Director and is responsible for performing various accounting and financial functions for the Management Company and its related entities. The Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Accounting<\/p>\n

0-3 years of relevant work experience<\/p>\n

A solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting and debits & credits<\/p>\n

Effective communication skills and the ability to work well with peers, managers, and external parties Strong organizational skills, an attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines A high degree of personal integrity and the ability to maintain confidential information<\/p>\n

A quick study willing to learn new systems and eager to grow with the company<\/p>\n

A hard worker, who will takes pride in their tasks and seeks to improve<\/p>\n

A positive attitude, demonstrating the professionalism, flexibility and resiliency needed to attain goals<\/p>\n

Must be capable of independent problem solving and teamwork<\/p>\n

Moderate to advanced knowledge of Excel required.<\/p>\n

Public accounting experience preferred<\/p>\n

QuickBooks, MRI, Yardi experience a plus<\/p>\n

The Craft<\/strong><\/p>\n

Responsible for the Management Company\u2019s monthly financial reporting:<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Working across departments to calculate and record revenues from various business lines<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Tracking and recording expenses to ensure vendors are paid timely<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Creating monthly financial statements and standard analytical reports<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Presenting those statements and reports directly to the company\u2019s President<\/p>\n

Enforcing internal control policies, identifying process deficiencies and taking corrective actions<\/p>\n

Engaging with all departments to obtain information necessary to complete responsibilities<\/p>\n

Preparing the annual Management Company budget and subsequent tracking throughout the year<\/p>\n

Developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures<\/p>\n

Finding efficiencies and assisting to implement new controls and processes<\/p>\n

Completing ad hoc requests from ownership, various departments (Asset Management, Leasing, Construction, Property Management) and team members<\/p>\n

Involvement in special projects and initiatives to improve the company<\/p>\n
